At Desert Oasis Residents Empowerment Programme, we believe that every small action can spark significant change. Since our founding in 2007, we have focused on making a meaningful impact through fresh ideas and passion in our various activities.

Our Mission

Promoting modern agricultural technologies to rural farmers to enhance food security.
Promote social and economic knowledge in order to uplift the lives of members.
Supporting destitute families, aiding the physically challenged, and caring for the aged and terminally ill.
Establishing an investment and credit fund to benefit members, youth groups, and organizations in both rural and urban areas.
Promoting activities aimed at eradicating HIV/AIDS and providing care and support for those affected by the disease.
Mending ribbons in broken marriages due to overdrinking, drug abuse, and child negligence.
Teach faith and religion through Bible study.
Eliminate jiggers in the society.

Dotaba at a glance

Dotaba is a Non-Governmental Organization that has been established to assist people in alleviating poverty through empowerment and capacity building. We give start-up capital to people who approach us in groups for the purposes of establishing projects. Some of the projects that our members are involved in include:

Dairy and poultry farming

Rabbit and bee keeping

Greenhouse farming

Training and technical advisory

Our Activities include:

Seminars & Workshops

seminars, workshops, and conferences pertaining to health, education, water, religion, and agricultural needs.

Fundraising

Raising, mobilizing, and disbursing funds and other resources for the promotion of the organization.

Employment

Employing advisors, counselors, experts, and other staff for all or any of the objectives/mission of the organization.

Research & Training

Collecting and sharing technical materials for research and relevant training information.

Campaigns

We are involved in mobilizing and organising campaigns for jigger eradication in society.

Transparency

Providing donors and receivers of assistance with an accounting of all costs and expenditures available for inspection.

Guidance & Counselling Department

We provide wheelchairs to the physically challenged.We are also involved in the fight against drug abuse and excessive drinking through counseling and rehabilitation services.We offer support to people infected and affected by HIV & AIDS.

Children Home Outreach

We organise occasional visits to children's homes around Kenya and we get to meet new people and we are able to donate foodstuffs and clothes to the children and the organisations that run those departments.

GreenHouse Farming

Dotaba constructs greenhouses to members and encourages them to construct a structure with a glass or plastic roof and walls to create an artificial climate for maximum yields. The management and supply of seedlings such as flowers, vegetables, fruits and tobacco is undertaken by the organization.

Dr. Philip Mwaura

Dotaba CEO, Founder

Dr Philip is a PHD holder and has a wide knowledge of agriculture and livestock related fields. His works both as an individual as well as leader of Dotaba have earned him recognition in East Africa as well as in Kenya from former president Uhuru Kenyatta. He has touched the lives of many as well as educating them on money minting products through projects that have been inititiated with farmers globally. It is the vision and mission of the company to reach out to as many as 20 million kenyans by 2030
